#52tagshannemade 50

Sunday, January 2, 2022

[I am following Anne Brooke‘s 2021 #52tagshannemade slow stitch challenge to make a little tag every week of the year – see them all here!] Anne chose a very simple design for us this week: simply add some circles to our tags.

I chose a scrap of shiny fabric from my senior prom dress, and another polkadot cotton. One of the dots was covered in colonial knots. Then I picked an orange fabric to cut circles from, using either running, straight, or fly stitching to attached them. Last, I topped it off with a purple button. This color theme is definitely different for me, but is one of my favorites, actually!

We hosted a game day that turned into mostly playing Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes. At the time, we hadn’t considered it being a possible last gathering for a while, but by the time I was able to make the tag, that does come to mind.
