Hexie Dreams 9

Saturday, October 16, 2021

Fifty-seven more hexies are ready to be added to my Hexie Dreams quilt, putting me just over the 600 minimum mark!

The first 26 are from Minki Kim‘s Hidden Cottage for Riley Blake Designs. I will likely toss out that orange and the darker ones along the bottom, if not others. But this is why I need more than the minimum of 600 – so I can sort through for all the keepers, and use the left overs for an everything-goes project.

The other 31 are from the Break of Day collection by Sweetfire Road. The same applies here – I’m not quite sure the blues will make the cut.

And that wraps up all the purchased fabrics. Next up: the tubs from my aunt! October is already half over, so I am starting to feel like I won’t reach my goal to have enough hexies prepped to begin the culling, but perhaps the gloomy weather is just making me be pessimistic now.
