I recently came into the possession of a box of Needle Arts magazines. The September 1998 issue ran an article by Cecile P. Carver titled “Needlemaking: A Short History.” Of course, with my interests in art history and archaeology plus my hobbies in sewing and embroidery, this one caught my eye.
I then wondered if I could see what modern needlemaking is like and discovered a great little video. I thought I would link here for anyone else who has ever pondered on the process of making our humble yet most valuable tool.
